A point is a point

With a number of players away and unavailable the club were forced to forfeit the 2nd XI fixture meaning that a depleted 1st team squad were buoyed by the selection of Andy Carter, Conor Neal as well as the return of Jack Daly and James Coles who had been missing from previous weeks.

TCSHC started the game with a level of intensity that had been lacking in previous weeks. While it was Bristol that enjoyed the majority of possession defensive pressure was exerted all over the pitch to force the away side in to making a number of unforced errors and not making the most of their opportunities in the final third. As the first half progressed TCSHC started to see some more of the ball and create some space out wide which saw a number of runs by Jack Daly, Fin Porter and Josh Wood get them selves into promising attacking positions once of which resulted in a short corner. The resulting corner was slipped right and Chris Cullum saw his shot cross the line to put the home side 1-0 up which remained the score as the half time whistle went.

TCSHC started the second half brighter creating the early chances which saw a further follow up shot from a short corner come back off the cross bar. However, shortly after Bristol began to press which resulted in the home side sitting deeper. When the Taunton defence were able to get the ball out of the final third Chris Cullum, Andy Carter and Conor Neal held the ball up well retaining possession and allowing the midfield and defence to move forward. Bristol equalised mid way through the half as a cross from outside the area after a counter attack found and outstretched stick of the Bristol forward who some how managed to deflect it under the smallest gap between Joe Heayens and the ground resulting in a well taken finish and a goal that would have been saved 9 times out of 10.

The game finished all square with the home side please to have picked up their first point of the season however knowing that their strong performance could have resulted in all three. Man of the Match was again awarded to Will Hopkins who had another solid game in defence as well as demonstrating his attacking capabilities with a number of weaving dribbles through the midfield and into the opposition D.
